I have spent my life dealing with some form of mental illness, I'm fairly certain some form of bipolar. I say fairly certain because I haven't been officially diagnosed, but my uncle on my fathers' side has it, my aunt of my mothers' side has it and my younger brother has been on dozens of different medications and in-and-out of the hospital most of his life, which they at first diagnosed as bipolar but later changed to schizophrenia. I have always thought that I personally had major depression. However some things happened to me this year that have made me think otherwise.
This spring I had a fairly serious, what I believe to be, psychotic episode. I couldn't sleep for months, started uncontrollably sobbing and balling my eyes out, sometimes literally for days on end. I became convinced that my boss was trying to uh, somehow or another, ruin my life. I thought he had cameras in my work truck and was spying on me. I ended up completely losing it on him, which he didn't actually take all that personally, thankfully. I realized I was going to have to get help. I went to a walk in clinic who referred me to both a sleep clinic and the psychiatric unit at the local hospital. The doctor prescribed me a sleeping pill, which worked for a while. Went to the sleep clinic where you stay overnight with a thousand wires attached to your head and body and they monitor you for problems and such. Of course with the sleeping pill, nothing showed up there. I then got a call from the psychiatric unit, who after an hour long phone interview, informed me there would be a 2 year wait to see a doctor. Thanks to covid 19 there was a massive influx of people seeking mental health treatment for depression, and a shortage of doctors. So, I completely lost it on the lady on the phone, my apologies to her, hung up and haven't heard anything back.
I was at the point where I was going to end my life. I saw no other way out. I have had suicidal ideations since I was 12, I am now 33. I have made 2 serious attempts on my own life. Thankfully neither were successful. I had heard about Empower Plus many years ago, even tried it, but honestly I thought it was snake oil. However, with no access to a doctor or any other form of help or medication, I decided I had to at least try it before, you know, killing myself. I had a plan already in place. How do I know it's the Empower Plus working and not the amitriptyline? Good question. Just last week I forgot to take it for almost a week, but continued taking the amitriptyline because it's about the only way I can sleep. By Friday I had lost my mind, quit my job, flipped out on my coworkers, spent the weekend sitting alone in my room and sobbing and balling my eyes out uncontrollably. I texted my ex about a thousand times calling her every name and every awful thing you can imagine. I realized though, that I wasn't taking my pills, so on Friday I started taking them again. It is now Tuesday, 5 days later, and I woke up this morning feeling great, like it never happened. I went back to my boss and co workers, apologized and got back to work. They were amazing about the whole situation. I talked to my ex on the phone and we worked things out, we are now even talking again after many years. I may even get to talk to my kids again.
In conclusion, I absolutely believe this product has saved my life. When I couldn't even get medical treatment, Empower Plus was there and picked me up, sewed me back together and made me feel like I can live again. Thank you so much.
